Video text: Hello! Another video about Sherlock, Hardlock, and Yale cylinders with similar keys. This time, a force-based opening method. It says "Yale" here, but it works for all of these cylinders. Now we'll try opening a couple of them. You can use WD-40, but you don't have to. WD-40 seems to help a little. 0.05 mm foil. We're making a mold. The cylinder may still work. If it opens easily, without much effort, it will most likely still work, but it might stick a little. That is, if it opens without much effort, it will most likely work. If it requires force, then, of course, you can throw the lock away. Be sure to push it forward, even while rocking it. Start gradually, smoothly, not in a couple of movements, just rock it. This one went relatively easily. We're checking the key. The key works even without jamming. Let's try it. That was a Hardlock, now let's try a Sherlock. Keys like the Sherlock, Hardlock, and others come in long and short sizes. A long one naturally goes in deeper, a power key goes in deeper, and has more pins. It might often be that a long one is harder to force. That's possible, but it's more difficult. A shorter one might be easier. We make the form. Be sure to push it all the way in so it goes in as far as it will go. And when we rock it, we also apply gentle pressure. It went very quickly. We check the key. It works just as well. You can hardly tell it's been forced.. This power key fits all cylinders of this type - Hardlock, Sherlock, Yale, Apecs, Trion, and many others that have a similar key. It will fit both short and long keys. It's just that the longer ones may be more difficult. The percentage of successful forcings will be lower.
