Self-impression locksmith key for standard apartment cross-shaped locks.
It is recommended to use self-adhesive foil with a thickness of 0.04mm, rarely 0.03mm.
Text in the 1st video: These are cross locks for apartments. Standard crosses (cruciform locks). Almost all standard brands that are most often encountered. Calais. This is Fuaro. This is some Fanyan. I don't remember. This is Apex. In general, different brands. This is what the tool looks like. It is not a power tool, I will say right away. It seems to withstand a certain force, but within reasonable limits. This is exactly an impression. Just made of good metal, but this is not a roll. I immediately glued the foil so as not to waste time. I will later separately post a video on how to glue the foil better. But I think many will guess how. By the way, while the key is new, it is greasy and does not stick well. It will come off a little from the grease, and then it will stick well. The main foil is 0.4. This is the main one. Rarely can 0.3. 0.3 opens instantly, but tears very quickly. Everything opens easily. The only thing is Kale. This is the best quality. Therefore, Kale may not be 100% opening. There are probably fungi or something like that. Let's start gluing with Apecs. We try to insert carefully. Shake like this, so as not to tear the foil. Because you may not notice how the foil will tear, and the lock will not open. And we do tension with such circular movements. Of course, you can just do it like this, right-left. By the way, I haven't even tried 0.5 foil. Perhaps, 0.5 is possible. But it is very dense, so it, of course, may open, maybe it will take a long time to open. I haven't even tried. Therefore... The most popular is 0.4. We do tension. And do not forget that you need to pull it out in the same position in which we inserted it. Where there was a guide without foil, we pull it out in the same way. Otherwise, the original key will stop working. It is not always at the top. It can be at the bottom, on the side. Usually either at the top or at the bottom, this guide. It fits tightly, so we try to be careful when it fits tightly, so as not to tear the foil. Well, I already said that you don't need a lot of force to avoid twisting, you need moderate pressure. Although the metal is very good. Well, for Kale, you can just try using 0.3 foil. 0.3 will be very fast. The lock... The locks are absolutely not damaged in any way. That's it. Well, that seems to be all.
Text in the 2nd video: This is a standard cross, a door cross, and a video as an option on how to glue the foil. Someone can glue it in their own way, but I'm just showing how I do it. You don't have to clamp it in a vice. I'll just do it this way. Cut the strips. This width is plus or minus 4 mm, maybe even less. About 3 mm is possible. I've already told you many times about the key, while it's new, it can be in oil and won't stick well. Therefore, the first 2-3 times, you need to wipe it. Start gluing from here. Hold it with your finger, make it stretch, that is, in tension. Hold it with your finger and in tension. Align it with your fingers like this. Here we have it. Then take any credit card and align it on the sides like this. Here is the spout. Trim it and turn it to the side, any, right or left doesn't matter. Now align this spout again. And you can do it from above like this. Well, let's finish gluing it completely. We run our fingers like this. And pay attention, it should be on top, it is not wrinkled, it holds the height. If it turns out that it is wrinkled on top, then it is better to re-glue it. Or it does not hold well, then it is also better to re-glue it. Main foil 0.4. 0.3 less often. We wrap the nose and iron it again. Well, that's all. Insert it along the guide. Insert it carefully so as not to tear the foil. We make tension, right-left and in circular motions. That's how it works.
